Drinking water and losing weight

how much water do you drink a day?
​they say one should drink 2 lt a day at least. so i try to keep to this number. here it says that you must drink water before eating smth and wait, like 20 or 30 min, it's also an answer to question how much water to drink in a day to lose weight . It makes sense - every time when i feel that I'm hungry I drink water first, it's like a ritual so it helps me always stay hydrated
